I really liked the program, but I joined after about a year of sobriety and I felt like there was a lot of conceptual points in the groups that didn’t really relate to me. I ended up leaving, but I’m still grateful for the experience. The staff were extremely nice to me, laid back but took their job seriously as well. It’s a general chow hall type scenario, but you can be expected to take care of chores around the living area so I suppose it provides a bit of discipline. I left to go to a program more focused on my mental health problems and so I have more time learning to transition into society. This is a highly cultural specific program, but even if you’re not African American you will fit in and be accepted as long as you are respectful and participate a little. If I felt like I needed substance abuse treatment again, I would come to Turning Point

Amazing! I had gone to community acupuncture before and never noticed an impact on my body, but working with Christy has been a totally different experience. I have always struggled with nasal congestion and since receiving treatment from Turning Point, I can consistently breathe out of my nose for the first time in my life. Not to mention, my other symptoms have improved as well. Definitely worth the money, and the people who I have referred here have also had a very successful experience.

I’m writing this to say ‘Thank you Turning Point’. Thank you for helping me to find myself. After years of pain within myself, the drugs and alcohol abuse, my stay at Turning Point opened my eyes. My body was relieved of pain and my mind was restored to a positive way of living.

When you make the decision to get clean and sober, you can change your life. Turning Point is the place that made that happen for me.

Turning Point has given me the chance to not only continue to work on myself but also my goals. Even with setbacks, I love being able to keep alive my dream of owning my own computer business. I am also getting closer to the day when I will be moving out of the housing program, but I know because of the help of God and Turning Point, I am still sober.

Turning Point gave me the opportunity to repaint my whole picture. I got focused and clean (drug-free), and I changed my perception of myself.
